The part where you plug the USB cable into the external hard drive is broken, The casing that should be inside the external hard drive is attached to the cable and the pins inside are broken. It is a seagate external hard drive with a problem described here
I have a seagate external hard drive 2tb and my computer struggles to read the drive. Once plugged in, it takes around 20 seconds to show and then when clicked, takes a few minutes to show files. I cannot open the files or copy them anywhere but I can view them, thats only once I’ve done ‘first aid’ on disk utilities. Desperately need to recover for my due assignments.
WD My Passport 1Tb Ten high/low buzzes when powered up. Client is a teacher and has data on the drive she wishes to recover. How do you return the data recovered?
Segate Baracuda 320GB SATA HDD, Spins up and has the click of death (By the sounds of it its a read/write head issue as nothing sounds stuck).
Buffalo Linkstation LS-WXLX0E now boots into Emergency Mode. I pilled out one of the hard drives without turning the NAS off first and then could not see it on the network. I then turned it off and back on holding down the function button and can now see it but its in Emergency Mode.
